Synopsis
A person who has lived in me 20th century, starting from its earliest days, has seen more advances in science and human knowledge than anyone who ever lived belore. It has been an amazing century, but as remarkable as the century has been, its first decacade was even more remarkable. Here are five giants of science whose work during that first decade set the foundation for all that follows, ALBERT EINSTEIN whose formula E=MC2 changed our world forever; MARIE CURIE who was the first person to win two Nobel Prizes; GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER, Whose pioneering work wrought great changes in the world of agiculture; SIGMUND FREUD, who taught us how to navigate the unconscious; and the WRIGHT BROTHERS, two Midwestern tinkerers and inventors whose dream to fly became a reality at Kitty Hawk.
